Pandemonium took over a railway station in Germany this week that led to a shut down after passengers displayed symptoms of a lethal virus that currently doesn’t have a cure. Officers cordoned off tracks 7 and 8 at Hamburg Central Station for several hours to minimize the risk of spreading the illness, which sent commuters scurrying off to safety.

A fire department spokesman told the Bild tabloid that the man and his girlfriend had developed flu-like symptoms on a high-speed train from Frankfurt. The spokesman said they had come from abroad where they had been treating a man who went on to develop an infectious disease,

Similarly to Ebola, the Marburg virus is spread via contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person, as well as via contact with infected materials.
