USA Today columnist Christine Brennan has been in the WNBA's crosshairs following her controversial interview with DiJonai Carrington, but she isn't apologizing for asking the Connecticut Sun star questions about hitting Caitlin Clark in the face during a game.

The players of the WNBA are not happy with USA Today’s Christine Brennan. The columnist drew widespread criticism from players and fans after her questions directed toward DiJonai Carrington following an incident in which the Sun guard inadvertently gave Fever star Caitlin Clark a black eye.

The WNBA players union called on USA Today to discipline Brennan for her line of questioning with Connecticut Sun guard DiJonai Carrington.

WNBPA executive director Terry Carmichael Jackson described Brennan’s questioning as “a blatant attempt to bait a professional athlete into participating in a narrative that is false and designed to fuel racist, homophobic, and misogynistic vitriol on social media.”
