Tennessee moved up to No. 5 in poll as the Volunteers continued to surge up the rankings, and No. 25 Boise State returned to the AP Top 25 for the first time in four years.

Penn State’s Week 5 opponent, Illinois, moved up five spots to No. 19 after beating then-No. 22 Nebraska on the road. That sets up a top-20 matchup in Beaver Stadium next weekend, a game in which Penn State coach James Franklin is expecting to see “White Out energy” from fans. Penn State and Illinois kick off at 7:30 p.m. next week on NBC.

Penn State moved up one spot in the Associated Press Top-25 poll after the Saturday’s blowout win over Kent State. The Nittany Lions are ranked No. 9 in the latest poll, which was released Sunday afternoon and saw no movement in the top four: Texas is No. 1, followed by Georgia, Ohio State and Alabama.
