Google Cloud Platform has lodged an antitrust complaint against Microsoft to the European Commission. The company has accused Microsoft of using unfair licensing contracts in its Azure cloud computing businesses to manipulate competition.

Microsoft is facing antitrust accusations filed by tech rival Google with the European Commission that allege Microsoft made customers pay extra to run Windows on its competitors' cloud platforms.

Google has filed an antitrust complaint in Brussels against Microsoft, alleging its Big Tech rival engages in unfair cloud computing practices that has led to a reduction in choice and an increase in prices.

A spokesperson at the European Commission, the EU's antitrust watchdog, confirmed that the complaint was received, adding that "We will assess under our standard procedures".
