If you're stuck, we can help! Here are our hints for the Wordle answer for today, 2nd October 2024. For the uninitiated, the aim of Wordle is to work out a daily five-letter word within six guesses. The fewer the guesses, the better - and if you fail to guess it at all, you'll break your streak.

Developed by Josh Wardle, a software engineer based in Brooklyn, the game was originally a gift for his girlfriend who loved crosswords. Initially intended for the couple's own enjoyment during lockdown, Wardle soon recognized its broader appeal and launched Wordle online in October 2021.
