Kelce ended a streak of seven consecutive 1,000-yard seasons last year when he had just 984 receiving yards, his fewest since 2015. He came up huge in the postseason, though, catching 32 passes for 355 yards and three touchdowns.

According to Kelce, the real reason the Chiefs excel in close games is the leadership of Patrick Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid. Kelce made it clear that his own performance isn’t what matters most.
