Nebraska and Purdue played an ugly first half of football on Saturday. There were no points scored until the Boilermakers hit a field goal with 6:42 to play in the third quarter. Huskers' freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola had a final stat line of 17-for-27 passing for 257 yards and one touchdown.

Purdue lost to Nebraska 28-10 at Ross-Ade Stadium, spoiling homecoming and possibly losing a last chance for fans to have hope for the 2024 season.

Purdue's offense is not good. But at least give Nebraska some credit. It's tough to hold a team out of the end zone and Nebraska was able to do that. But overall, this was the first road game for Raiola, a true freshman quarterback who wasn't a superstar on Saturday, but was good enough in a game where no one stood out.
