Microsoft is giving it another go with Recall for Copilot+ PCs, after being bombarded by security and privacy concerns.

Microsoft says the controversial Recall search feature will only be on Copilot Plus PCs that meet its security standards.

The searchable timeline for Windows — dubbed a “privacy nightmare” when announced in May — is due to launch for Windows Insider members in October.

I’m excited because I think the security community is going to get how much we’ve pushed [into Recall].” One of Microsoft’s first big changes is that the company isn’t forcing people to use Recall if they don’t want to.
