Marit’s son, Marius Berg Hoeiby, has been arrested for violating a court order. Hoeiby, 27, was apprehended on Friday the 13th at a hunting lodge in southern Norway. He was found to have breached a restraining order that prohibited him from approaching a woman who had accused him of abuse.

Marit's son, Marius Borg Høiby, 27, was arrested on Saturday for allegedly violating a restraining order following "an incident in an apartment". The eldest son of Mette-Marit and stepson of Crown Prince Haakon was initially arrested and detained on 4 August 2024 on suspicion of "physically and psychologically" assaulting a woman in her 20s believed to be his girlfriend.

Marit, was rearrested for violating a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend after initial detention in August for causing bodily harm to that woman. He now faces additional allegations of domestic abuse and threats against others.
