A former Riverside resident who shot two Jewish men after they left synagogues in the Pico-Robertson district last year less than 24 hours apart was sentenced on Monday, Sept. 30, to 35 years in federal prison.

A hit-and-run driver killed a rollerblader along a busy intersection on Friday night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The collision happened just before 8:40 p.m. at the S. Bundy Drive and W. Olympic Boulevard intersection in West LA, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A California man with a history of anti-Semitic hate was sentenced to 35 years in prison on Monday for shooting two Jewish men at Los Angeles-area synagogues within a 24-hour period last year.

About 50 teens raided a 7-Eleven convenience store in West Los Angeles Friday night. It happened at about 7:25 p.m. in the 8500 block of Olympic Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Investigators said all of the suspects were between 12 and 15 years old.
