Kolkata: West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose has sought an immediate reply from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after Sanjay Roy, the main accused in the RG Kar doctor's rape and murder case, alleged conspiracy.

Key accused Sanjay Roy was present in the court during the trial. He was brought to the court in the afternoon while the proceedings were being held. Outside the court after the proceedings, Roy alleged that he was framed by senior police officers, including former Kolkata police commissioner Vineet Goyal.

The prime accused, while coming out of the court, claimed that he has been framed by the administration and he was not guilty.

Two witnesses recorded their statements in the trial in the RG Kar rape and murder case. The trial started on Monday and a family member and a family friend of the victim, a second year post-graduate student at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital was brutally raped and murdered on August 89,
