'Otherworldly' crash site discovered on surface of Mars by NASA helicopter
An "otherwordly" crash site of another spacecraft was photographed by a NASA helicopter. Back in 2020, the Perseverance Rover was sent up to the Red Planet with the Mars Helicopter called Ingenuity strapped to the bottom of it.

The images of the 'saucer' were caught by a NASA helicopter orbiting Mars, with experts on the technology used to snap it saying it looks 'otherworldly' even to science boffins like them. But the truth of the matter is a bit closer to hope and nothing to do with little green men hiding behind rocks on the Red Planet.

NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab laying off 5% of its workforce
The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Southern California — which manages many of NASA's high-profile robotic missions, such as the Perseverance and Curiosity Mars rovers — announced Tuesday (Nov. 12) that it will lay off about 325 employees, or roughly 5% of its workforce.

Calif. NASA lab to cut more than 300 jobs in second round of layoffs this year
JPL, which was founded in 1936 by California Institute of Technology researchers, already went through one round of mass layoffs earlier this year in an effort to reduce costs. In February, JPL cut 530 jobs, which was about 8% of its then-workforce, and laid off 40 contractors.
