A nail bitting end for No. 7 Miami as they pick up a close victory against Virginia Tech 38-34 to remain undefeated. The key to this game came down to coaching as Mario Cristobal just didn't make as many mistakes as Hokies head coach Brent Pry created to many mistakes for his team to overcome.

The Miami Hurricanes’ road game against the California Golden Bears on Oct. 5 is scheduled for a 10:30 p.m. kickoff, the ACC announced Monday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN. This will be Miami’s third consecutive ESPN night game, after last week’s 50-15 win over USF and Friday’s ACC opener against Virginia Tech.

Miami went to 5-0 and won its conference opener. But the night had so many ups and downs, right to the end, that quarterback Cam Ward said, “I don’t feel good about this win.”
