Drake Hogestyn, the actor best known for his long-running role as John Black on the popular soap opera “Days of Our Lives,” has died from pancreatic cancer. He was 70 years old. Hogestyn died on Saturday, Sept. 28 — a day shy of his 71st birthday — the actor’s family said in a statement posted on the “Days of Our Lives” Instagram page.
