Presenter and TV star Carol Vorderman didn't hold back as she shared her thoughts on the new Conservative leader, Kemi Badenoch

Former Countdown host Carol Vorderman has issued a statement following the Conservative Party electing Kemi Badenoch as it's new leader.

Kemi Badenoch has made her first major opposition front bench appointments since being named leader of the Conservative party. The North West Essex MP selected ex Treasury minister Laura Trott as her shadow education secretary.

It is thought Ms Badenoch said the first challenge for the party will be winning back council seats at local elections.
