Can anyone explain or give any information on the (bronze ?) statue at the Douglas Dam Overlook. Or even the history of it? I can’t find anything on the web about it. Thanks. Full review by YDK123

The viewing area may have a better view of the Appalachians than anywhere else. It also has a picnic area. On a clear day this place is worth making a special trip, 1-2 hours out of your way. Full review by Kodachrometraveler

If you are trying to find something new but want to be able to safe distance this is a spot for you. The views are gorgeous & if you are lucky you may see an Eagle. We saw a number of critters scurry… Full review by 752ruthy
