Wood Lake Nebraska

Wood Lake is a village in Cherry County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 63 at the 2010 census. Wood Lake was founded in 1882 when the Fremont, Elkhorn and Missouri Valley Railroad was extended to that point. It was named for the trees at a nearby lake, which were the source of valuable timber.
